The birthplace of American Impressionism the Bush Holley House in Greenwich was the site of a special program on the school of artists that called the Cos Cob area home from the early 1890s to the 1920s.
Art Historian Darby Cartun lectured on the works of the Cos Cob Colony as part of a special program sponsored by Waterstone on High Ridge, a new senior living community currently under construction in Stamford.

The Stamford Senior Center’s 3rd Annual Miniature Golf Tournament is nearly sold out! This lighthearted event, which will be held on Thursday, September 9 on the center’s patio, will raise funds to help support programs and services that promote healthy aging for older adults.
Darby Cartun has been bringing art to life for people ever since she can remember. The art historian, longtime Greenwich resident and local radio talk show host is happiest when sharing her love for art. She teaches lifetime learners at Norwalk Community College and has lectured at more than 20 assisted living facilities in the Fairfield County area.
First Look: Waterstone of Lexington
Developer National Development (Newtown Lower Falls, Mass.) and owner/operator Epoch Senior Living (Waltham, Mass.) wanted to create a luxury senior living community that reflects the mid-century residential architecture of Lexington, Mass.
Situated on a 17.5-acre campus, the Waterstone of Lexington independent and assisted living community is the result of that vision.
A special event recently hosted by Waterstone of Lexington and Bridges at Lexington to promote local businesses in Lexington and Belmont was a big success. Some 40 invited guests filled their baskets with goods from Lexington Bee Company, Lexington Soap Company, Wilson Farms, Quebrada Baking, A Chocolate Dream chocolatier, Brugger’s Bagels, MA- France French Boulangerie and Jayne’s Flowers.
Construction continues on the premier independent living community project Waterstone of Westchester in Downtown White Plains. The development for those 62 and older will feature first-class amenities, 132 residences and supportive services on a parcel on Bloomingdale Road. Waterstone of Westchester is scheduled to open in the first quarter of next year.
Michael Murphy is now senior advisor at Waterstone at the Circle, a senior living community in Boston.
He arrives at the community with experience in similar positions, including director of community relations and director of sales and marketing for various senior living and health care providers.
