Join us in the Waterstone Gallery to be delighted by the creativity of Norwalk-based artist, Norm Siegel. Enjoy refreshments as you meet Norm, hear about his inspiration and journey, and get an up-close view of his varied works.
After graduating from The Cooper Union in NY in 1959, Norm enjoyed an illustrious career in advertising design as an “ad madman”, creating works for the likes of Crest Toothpaste, Continental Airlines, and Volvo.
Over the years, he developed his career as a painter, separate from his work in advertising.
As an aviation enthusiast, many of his paintings are inspired by themes related to his time in the U.S. Air Force Art Program.
“Just like creating an ad or commercial, what I paint must have a concept. Sometimes literal, sometimes graphic, sometimes humorous and satirical, sometimes social and political.”
His work has been exhibited in aviation museums, galleries, and libraries across the Northeast.
