Evening of Art with Felicity Kostakis
Wednesday, September 7
5:30 p.m.
Waterstone on High Ridge is excited to share that local Greenwich artist Felicity Kostakis will be joining us in our gallery for an evening of creative inspiration, cocktails and conversation. A special collection of her artwork, featuring lovely portraits of dogs, will be on display.
About the Collection
Only a dog owner knows the special bond they share with their four-legged friend. It is extremely rare to find an artist who can read a dog’s face, the deep pools of their eyes, and the connection they have when they look at their owner. But Felicity Kostakis understands. Not only does she see it, Felicity has the rare talent to execute the powerful story of this relationship in a single image. As a dog owner also, she captures the connection in the precious faces of these animals with honesty and purity.

About the Artist
When Kostakis originally started painting, she was heavily influenced by the sea. Her early inspiration came from the magnificent coastlines of Austrialia’s southeast region. When she was only eight years old, she picked up a brush and began painting with any and every medium she could find. After studying in Australia, Felicity moved to Dublin, Ireland where the bays and peninsulas of the Emerald Isle continued to awake her artistic impulses. During a visit to the Connecticut shore in 1998, Felicity became inspired by the New England coastlines and moved her studio permanently to Old Greenwich, CT. Her artwork is rich with light and nature. She has extended her ability to capture the grandeur of the sea to many other subjects including landscapes, animals and still lifes.
